1.Our hopes arose at the first sight of the doctor.

一看到医生我们就有了希望。

考点：arise不及物 （问题，困难）出现等；raise及物 提高，举，上升；rise（位移）上涨，向上。数量 物价等；arouse及物 唤醒，激起（兴趣等）。

2. Eating too much fat can contribute to heart disease and cause high blood pressure.

吃太多的脂肪能够引起心脏病和高血压。

考点：attribute to 把......归因于；contribute to 造成，引起，导致；attend to 参加；devote to，致力于，献身于。

3. I don’t think it advisable that Tom be assigned to the job since he has no experience.

我认为汤姆不应该被安排完成这项工作，因为他没有经验。

考点：一坚持 insist

二命令command、order 

四建议 advise、 suggest、recommend、 propose

六要求 ask、demand、require、request、urge、desire

引导的that 从句，从句的谓语动词用(should)do/be done 

4. He is the only one of those boys who is willing to take on another assignment.

他是这些男孩中唯一一个愿意接受另一个任务的人。

考点：定语从句中主谓一致，定语从句中的谓语动词要和先行词保持一致，当谓语动词是单数时，先行词应该用单数形式，只有the only one of those boys 表示单数。 

如果先行词是one of those boys， 则定从的谓语动词用复数形式。

5. I don’t think it will rain，but I’ll take an umbrella in case it does.

我认为天不会下雨，但是我会带着伞以防会下雨

考点：as if=as though 好像；in case 以防，防止，后接句子；even if 即使。
